oneTRANSPORT at the 11th ITS European Congress, Glasgow
Summary of events at European ITS Congress held in Glasgow
A sunny Glasgow in early June, was the location for the 11th ITS European Congress, which was well represented by members of the oneTRANSPORT project team. A pod located in the start-up zone saw project partners: Arup, InterDigital, Buckinghamshire County Council, Oxfordshire County Council and Northamptonshire County Council engage with interested parties. The event saw the launch of the Transport Data Initiative ‘airplane ticket’ flyer for the group, and the oneTRANSPORT project launching a business card to promote engagement for the hackathon event. The pod saw constant interest accross the duration of the conference.
The congress also saw a technical paper and a special interest session which discussed the oneTRANSPORT project. Khalid Nur (Arup) presented a technical paper on the oneTRANSPORT project in a well attended session on Tuesday afternoon. Whilst, Tim Gammons (Arup) moderated a Special Interest Session looked looked at public private partnerships in open data and the issues that local authorities face when opening up data: the presenters in the session included project partners Rafael Cepeda (InterDigital), Matt Hammon (Northamptonshire County Council) and Basil Jackson (Buckinghamshire County Council).
The oneTRANSPORT project will also present a paper at the 22nd ITS World Congress in Melbourne, so if you missed talking to us in Glasgow come find us in Melbourne!
